For women who work with families

A program designed for women who care about children, answering one of the toughest questions facing families today...

"Why Bring Dad into the Picture?"

Why? It's all about helping children thrive:

  • Children have lower risks when raised by committed moms and dads
  • Mothers and fathers have unique, complimentary and vital roles in a child's life
  • Children suffer when fathers are absent
  • Unfathered children need a reliable father figure

Key topics you will experience in this highly interactive program:

  • Current research on father involvement and child well-being
  • Assessing your father's impact on you
  • A father's issues:  Why does he do what he does?
  • The value of the parenting team
  • How women can help men be better dads-examining co-parenting relationships
  • Four key effective fathering behaviors
  • Using this experience to make a difference in your job and life

 Participant's comments:

...I will make more of an effort to include fathers and help them realize their importance.."

...I have always wanted to know how to reach fathers of the Head Start children. This will help me to be able to do that..

... I will stop, think, and try harder to get fathers involved. I will respect and encourage fathers."
